What is wrong with you????
I already stated that I agree with what Gadwall wrote, that’s what I would suggest..........not taking away the early season or days at the end of the regular season.........again slow down when your reading maybe you will comprehend what’s being said.....
Again what are you smoking??? I didn’t lead you anywhere!! You ran down that hole with your head up your ..................
I don’t think JC has the same outlook on your guys interactions........
Wow I replied after reading page 2 not realizing there was another whole page of ridiculousness...............
Almost every dedicated waterfowler i know would support taking days off the end of the regular season to have a late season. Although no one would budge on the early season. This comes from guys all over. Rested birds with a 10 bird limit. Whats not to like about that?
Personally myself and friends find that the end[late] part of the regular season is the best for ducks especially when most ponds are frozen over and we find them in the sheltered creeks that are still open and flowing. For this reason , we would hate to lose that.
As for the geese, over the years, we have found that in the late season [ end of Feb. into March] the geese are not as tasty as they have lost all the fat in their bodies.
You wouldnt loose that. This wouldnt affect the duck season dates. Only geese. Definitely love late ducks. We killed mallards on the last day of the season this year.
As for geese not having fat on em. That all depends on how rough the winter is. This varies from year to year. Ive seen it where birds had severe dips in their chests. But other years they are in the same shape as late season. Depends on your area and what food sources are available to them.
KK1.........You said it, depends on your area.......... that is why I’d never want days at the end of regular season taken away for late season, 9 out of 10 years during a regular winter there are ZERO birds in the area, no open water = no birds........The only people this would benefit would be guys that live on the shores of the Great Lakes or by larger rivers that have open water.
I know a lot of fowlers province wide and have never heard one of them state they would rather late season over late regular season but everyone has there own opinion. Not sure it would fly province wide or should I say southern region wide
