Looks like the rules are under the FWCA so one won't be able to hunt from a boat with a motor attached unless they provide an exception.

4. Use of vehicles: Hunters are permitted to hunt double-crested cormorant from a stationary motorboat (motorboat is not in motion and the power to the motor has been turned off).

In reading that post guess flushing them with a motor boat would be prohibited.

The way I saw them in late season last year, if you find the right location you'd have an easy time filling your limit. I agree though that behavior will likely change once they are educated by guns. I can't see myself harvesting any if I'm not going to eat them. But I might if the opportunity falls in my lap.

I don't mind taking a limit, but having to buy to dispose of them does not sound worth it. I got a yard but how many do you want to bury in the backyard? As for permission from a landowner....not too many likely to say sure.

Just out for a tour is all. :) Out for a troll around the island. Besides, it wouldn't surprise me at all if every CO out there is in full support of this season and hates them just as much as many do.

A few months ago I made a comment about using dried Cormorants as fire wood....But I don't have a wood stove/furnace.
