Whack of deer = 100+ if you killed them yourself. If you are including other people's kills than 200+.

Moose = 12+ if killed yourself. 25+ if including other's kills.

Bear = 50+ if your own. 100+ if it includes others.

That's my take. Now in regards to OP scrap the Buck and Gerber's and get yourself a fixed blade Benchmade or Bradford in S30V or better yet M390. That will dress and skin a whack of anything and still be sharp enough to shave with when finished.

Really not a fan of gerber. Especially when you look at the crap they pull. I'm sure they can get the job done but how can you justify a $100+ price-point for a knife made out of the cheapest steel money can buy (7cr13Mov). Especially when any other company sells basically the same knife for less than half that (still overpriced? You can get good knives made out of 9cr19mov, 5160, 1050, or 420HCSS for $50.

Grohmann knives are great quality and made in Canada to boot.

my dad has had his Gerber folding knife for decades not 1 issue with it, granted thats when they use to make stuff to last. not like now, they make things now to break so the costumer will come back to buy it again

I love my folding Gerber with gut hook and ergonomically handle. It was about $60 when I bought it over 10 yrs ago
