It is not your personal responsibility to do things to yourself for the benefit of others. Believing that you are wearing a mask or getting a vaccine for the sake of someone else's life or for your freedom means that you take your freedom for granted. The covid death rate is 0.02% like everywhere in the world. That 0.02% are pretty much exclusively the elderly, people who are obese or in bad health. A couple months ago, I looked at the covid deaths in Canada. 17000. The population is 34 million. Do the math if you didn't like the sound of that death rate before because you want to or were led to believe it is more. You are more likely to die at the hands of a doctor or eating too much cheeseburgers. People are fearing for their lives because they know one or two people who died of covid in the last year...as if we don't live where there are millions of people
There is no such thing as less equal in a democracy, in our climate of social justice warriors, liberalism, minority rights. I'm not saying I'm on that band wagon because I don't think everything can be made equal but I'm just saying that equality is the trend. Training a virus to fight around the experimental treatment vaccine can't be a good thing.
Other points to look at is how no other coronavirus vaccine made it past the animal phase that worked in a positive response. What happens if the virus does become vaccine resistant? What if the vaccine does make it worse by strengthening the virus and then it becomes resistant to it..
We simply don't know what a mass vaccination will do or the effects it have down the road.
People need to wake up and realize that this could bring so many other problems that we have yet to discover. Maybe it won't but judging by the past coronaviruses a vaccine only made it more deadly later when exposed to the virus.
Do people really care that these big pharma companies are in it for the money. Phizer will be bumping up the price as the government needs it or do we really need it?. Most of the people saying we need it are all profiting from it so why wouldn't you tell the people in is the only route. The more they convince the people and government to take it the more profit they make.
What happens if the vaccine does make it worse? We will loose many people , people who were relatively healthy that wouldn't have died from the virus in the first place.
