No, there are 2 sexes and many different genders, they are 2 different things.

The idea of sexuality being grey has been around for as long as people, they are just categorizing them now.

It's interesting you mention this, as I've been thinking that the whole time -- the grey area always existed and it never even occurred to me that it needed to be labelled.

In every single animal species on earth there are gender variations, lots of grey, why are humans any different.
