The truth is in the middle. Here's where I think the middle is.

- vaccine has likely not been tested sufficiently. Speed to market was the key issue here ... both to make $$ (whoever was first, Pfizer/Moderna won), and to try and curb the illness.
- vaccine does not stop you from getting COVID ... anti-vaxxers are incorrectly using statistics to say vaccine doesn't work. It is irrelevant to say ... you see 400 covid infections today are with vaccinated people. The answer to that is, so what?? That's actually supposed to happen. The vaccine only reduces the likelyhood of developing a severe illness to COVID.

My stance on the whole matter is that getting the vaccine should be a choice ... but with that choice comes responsibility.
You equally have to respect one another's choice. It should not matter if the person beside you got the vaccine or not. It is for you to decide.
Your choice carries responsibility ... for example ... the vaccinated should not be punished with a lockdown, if unvaccinated fill the ICUs ... perhaps
then the unvaccinated should be subject to a shutdown, if they are found to be the problematic group ... and a decision like that must be based on
real data, not feelings or speculation.

I would disagree with two points:

1) Everyone lied about the vaccine initially by saying it was safer and more effective than it actually is, and that we'd all be able to return to normal once around 70% or so had it...

The goal posts have shifted significantly and people just say "that's the way it always was". Boiling frog syndrome.

Fauci is on record back in February saying that all 3 vaccines were 100% safe and effective against death & hospitalization.

- First they said all 3 were safe
- then it was perfectly ok to mix vaccines
- it became "AstraZeneca is no longer recommended; its use has been halted"
- then it was "actually, don't mix the vaccines"
- now it's "due to heart risks choose Pfizer over Moderna"

The wonders of Science :)

2) Vaccinated are also dying and filling up hospitals. We are in no way better off now with 80% fully vaxxed than this time last year. I don't think the vaxxed should have any more freedoms than non-vaxxed.

Well, I'd say your point (1) falls right in line with my 4th point (vaccine has probably not been tested adequately). I think government did sway in their verbage quite a bit ... I mean there was a point where they said wearing masks was not good and should be avoided, then we went 180 degrees to mandatory masks ... no wonder very few trust the government and what they say!

(2) I'm not so sure about that ... I only know one person out of thousands that have had an adverse effect to the vaccine ... while I know plenty who got covid and got really, really sick or died. There's now two close contacts that were anti-vaxxers and died due to COVID. One is a family member of ours in the USA. By mid November we will know for sure whether the COVID cases curve looks the same as last year or not ... right now it looks like the numbers in Ontario are dropping, while last year they were rising ... I see a bit of a difference. But let's also note ... the vaccine doesn't prevent covid ... so looking at total covid cases makes no sense ... the numbers will be there with or without vaccine. All that matters is ICU cases and deaths. We are pretty low on that in Ontario at the moment.

This data suggests 86% is unvaccinated ... which doesn't surprise me.

Lots of things to consider and wonder .


We all know they want to blame the unvaccinated.

Didn't we shut down last year as the hospital were going to be overwhelming? Why are ICU numbers up ? But when we look at different data the hospital space is coming from an older age.
It's not everyone like they keep claiming.

I just came across this the average ICU is 59 in Alberta . Check out the ICU it breaks it all down by age .

We have 27 million fully vaccinated by our charts leaving 11 mil left there are millions that can't get it due to age .

I still think we have a pandemic of the elderly . I said it last year . It is rare for the young to end up in the hospital

Lots of people over 60 not willing to take it .

Maybe they are using every tool available to push and blame the unvaccinated. They have twisted all the other numbers why not these too.

Just my opinion maybe the pandemic of the unvaccinated is just a small portion of the population with only a few percent not vaccinated.

An article about starring down to Ontario lockdown posted Nov 14th 2020 with less in the hospital .

Only 110 in ICU then. Now we are almost at 180 the beginning of October . With staff shortages?
