Do you mean a .32 Winchester special? If you're most comfortable with it, use it. You just won't be able to reach out as far as with a .308. Keep your shots under 150 yards. Lots of moose have fallen to "Grandpa's gun" over the years.

OK gents, for those of us who can't stand for long times on our watches, and need something to sit on. Here is an awesome lil unit you can make. or have your significant other make, or convince your sons or daughters to make for you. We have used this camping, and I have used it on my watches, simple and easy to set up. the only neg to this is, it's way to comfortable and could possibly induce a closed eye session on your watch.

other than the obvious..... a compass, good knife, lighter, small folding saw and a 60oz bottle of Wisers to celebrate (or drain your sorrows)

That is what I assumed, but does wearing a standard size backpack ( less than 20 litres), violate the hunter orange requirements?
