With all the computerized JUNK now in the dash board of the DODGE RAM, a DODGE mechanic cannot fix them. You need a computer technician.
When you bring dodge in because of the warning lights, they have no idea of how to repair so they disconnect the battery. Erases code. Two weeks later your back in.
Those warning lights ALSO mean that your GAS MILEAGE is also going DOWN when lights are on.
BEWARE DODGE RAM TRUCKS

A really good friend of mine has been complaining about the same issue with his Ram and the mechanics...BUT he still loves his truck and wouldn't trade it in for anything in this world
I wouldn't trade in my RAM either because I couldn't, as I had just bought the piece of junk!!!
I had NO CHOICE but to like it.
Trade in value for a used dodge ram is not there.
I have had great luck with my chev bodies. My 96 1500 was sold in 04 with 425000k and no body work done other than gravel guard on the rockers.
My 03 2500 has 200000 on it now but is in need of paint. No rust through yet other than the cheap chinese hood the dealer installed after they hoisted the truck into a suspended heater. Body is sound but this truck has been an electrical nightmare.
I cant speak of the new chevs however I had a 2012 rental that I picked up brand new and kept for two months before it went back to the rental place. The box corners had almost no paint left on them and the first stone chips were already starting to rust.
LBA, I have never traded a ford in so you might be right!! But so far have no reason to think of trading them in.
Had 2 GM's, no complaints, my Toyota was GREAT.
