10 Worst Breeds for New Dog Owners

I wanted to buy a cheskpee(sp?) but that being my first dog wouldn't have been a good idea. I went with what I said I'd never buy... A lab... But I'm happy I did.

My choc lab female was bred for hunting. Her blood lines were fantastic and well lets say she is scared of her own shadow.. :( haha

That's a disappointment. Did you intend to hunt with her ?

I'm a dog lover, I don't think most dogs are inherently bad. But SERIOUSLY, WTF. Bad dog, irresponsible owners. It was a big park, they could have entered it somewhere else. I'm still mad.

This type of experience you can get any day and every day at our local "off leash park".It should be called local "bad owners off leash park". The weekend is the best with scores of dogs running mad after being shut up all week in a house and they now have their freedom.The owners for the most part do not know their dogs and do not know how to control them.The dog walkers with up to a dozen dogs in a pack are a real joy to watch they cant keep the dogs under any real control.Even on the local streets most dogs are taking their owners for a walk.

I take the JRT often as the deep snow is too much for him in the field and woods.

Really hard to keep my mouth shut and not offer advice. My husband gives me the look saying, "Don't say anything." :)

I enjoy seeing all the breeds though , and the pup has a great time. ( Only had one bad experience in 2 years , so not bad.)
