Only if they're Conservatives. Liberals get a pass for everything, even pedophelia.
After four years of investigation and this is all they come up with,I'm surprised they even laid these charges.

Well, miracle of miracles. The Wynne government just enacted a new fine structure for violations of The Freedom of Information Act where a maximum fine of $5000 may be levied for anyone erasing government records to avoid scrutiny. So,guess what these two mutts will get.....if they ever get to court?
Cristine Elliott had a stellar reputation as a Parliamentarian and was respected by all parties. The people we are now discussing are up on charges for illegal destruction of evidence in a coverup trial. Only you wouldn't see the difference here. But you are consistent. Merry Xmas.
Read my post again , you seem to have read to much into it. Did she not get a post like you were talking about? Most people in politics get a plum position when they leave politics, the good and bad, that is just the way it is, no change there.

Deletion of gas-plant emails deliberate was attempt to keep info secret, Crown says
The deletion of thousands of documents related to the politically explosive decision to cancel two gas plants near Toronto was a deliberate act that breached the public trust, the trial of two former top aides in the Ontario premier's office heard Friday.
...
prosecutor Sarah Egan said the accused were responsible for the "double deletion" of sensitive emails about the power plants as a way to keep them secret and thwart the public's right to accountability and transparency.
"Acting together, they destroyed records that they had a legal duty to preserve," Egan told Ontario court Judge Timothy Lipson. "They acted contrary to the public interest."
The Ontario Liberal government's decision to shut the power plants in Oakville and Mississauga just before the 2011 provincial election -- and the $1.1-billion cost incurred -- had become an issue of "intense public scrutiny" that prompted requests for relevant data under freedom of information laws, court heard.
But who ordered the deletion?, and how much are they being paid to keep quiet?
GUILTY.

It defies common sense and reality, Lipson said, to suggest that wholesale wiping of 20 hard drives in the outgoing premier's office was in accordance with policy....

"It's a sad day when a premier's most senior official is found guilty of trying to orchestrate a cover-up of the $1.1 billion gas plant scandal," Conservative Leader Patrick Brown said in a statement. "The guilty verdict is an indictment of the 15 years of Liberal political corruption that has long been rooted in the premier's office."
