The other thing is why do boaters think that they are entitled to have taxpayers , most of which have never even seen a boat launch let alone dream of owning a boat supply them with a nice launch? There are private boat ramps and marinas on most lakes so there is access.Quote:

Somehow, ice fishing is view differently and I don't like it....

There is an unspoken "level" of responsibility and ice fisherman rate way lower that skiers for example. If a skier goes off track and dies in an avalanche they will spend hundreds of thousands on rescue/recovery and I seriously doubt they bill the estate or family. If an ice fisherman needs rescue the bill is in the mail immediately it seems. You see progressives see skiing as an activity practiced by their peers, especially Western Mountain trips. Ice fisherman are red necks with snowmobiles and drink beer on the ice instead of red wine from a 4 star lodge.Quote:
