11th Cabela’s Canada store in Ottawa

Here where I live you wouldn't have a business if you mistreat your customers and lie to them. Not many in my area care much for companies that lie. They close their doors pretty quickly. I am happy to report that in twenty years I managed to help close 3 companies.

right now if you go to Cabela's.ca, you will see that all Cabela's branded items are 20% off online and in store excluding Ottawa. So I have ordered everything on line with free shipping to store that I had previously bought in the Ottawa store. When they call to tell me my order is in, I will take my original receipt in and hand it to them and return every thing they just invested the time and cost of shipping to the store and get my 20% discount.

happy that the new store is in Ottawa - yes
happy with returns process in store - yes
happy that geographically Cabela's is trying to charge more - no

but I have learned from this and it will prevent any impulse buying. Go to store, inspect and try out or on items, go home and order online and ship to store unless and highly unlikely that it is a Ottawa store only sale.

Nope. One was an automotive company I caught red handed ripping off my wife. Also received a reimbursement from a GM dealership of a 10 grand 21 years ago that I caught ripping off my wife (than GF).

So I am curious do you actually approve of companies misleading or stealing from customers? A simple Yes or No will suffice.

No I am not for any customer abuse of any employee. I am also against anyone so full of themselves that they think they can get 20 fellow customers to leave a store on their say so.

I did. As I said I have never lied to a customer you seem to think it is OK for a business or it's employees to mistreat and lie to customers. Sorry I'm against that. Guess I'm old fashion I believe in honesty.

Do not tell me what ' you seem to think'. No I never said it is alright to lie, what I said was, it is never OK to abuse an employee of any store. I might add ' for any reason'.

Back to the topic of Cabela's Ottawa, I went in today, and there were a couple of decent deals, although I didn't buy anything. They have by far the best selection of reloading gear of any big box store in Ottawa. The Stittsville range has a similar selection. Cabela's has some really good boots, some were even in the bargain area with a pretty good discounted price. Overall, I left the store with a good feeling - it is good to know there is another spot in town to get quality hunting gear.

For reloading, did you find any shotgun reloading parts and components. I have not got a chance to get in yet. I called yesterday and spent a half hour trying to get someone at the hunting desk with no luck.

I think I saw some boxes of loose Hornady buckshot in the bullet section, but I didn't pay much attention to that. I also think there were some shotshell presses. You can go online and order anything and have it shipped to the Ottawa store, so whatever you see online that is in stock, you can get in Ottawa now.
