I can't believe a mod stepped in and edited a guys post so the wording wouldn't offend peoples sensibilities....I'm 'static stimulated' :scream:
Never thought a Hunting forum would be party to word police using linguistic subterfuge...that activity is usually more akin to the Liberal side of society so they can live with themselves while doing unsavory things.
Mike.
If this were a closed forum, wherein members only would see the posts, then no issues whatsoever.
I am acutely aware that there are all members of society who have the ability to review these pages, and the use of the term "shock collar" is not only wrong, but has a connotation, that many anti's would leverage.
Maybe my PC button got firmly engaged this week, not sure...
Whether or not you feel it's necessary to choose which words to use the fact of the matter is that hunters tend to get negative press a lot. The e-collar is something that gets a ton of negative attention so using words that make it sound like a torture device is not helpful for anyone wishing to use this incredibly efficient tool properly. Misunderstood things get banned all the time due to popular uninformed opinion.
I ordered the Garmin Delta XC. I didn't need anything too fancy so it fits the bill, $265.00 all in and delivered.
Thanks all!
I am working with a neighbor, who made the mistake of buying her dog from a Mennonite family, the dog is stone cold deaf. We found an E collar that has vibration as one of the stimulus. A quick tap of the Vibration, the dog will look at her, hand signals then tell the dog what to do.
That's a fairly unusual case. But a good idea!
