GMO Corn is actually good for you

We were at a local pancake /sausage/ maple syrup birthday breakfast this morning at a friends sugar bush.
During a conversation with a couple of local farmers heard them saying that they are seriously thinking of going "organic " with their corn and soybeans. They mentioned that the ones in the area that were growing organic corn got $1,000.00 per ton for it. They said that it was quite an incentive to go organic even though it would be a few years before their farms could be registered as being organic.

I guess it is, I just looked up the price of On./2017 feed corn crop/organic @ $12.00 bushel times 56 bushels per ton = $672.00
Unless they were talking human consumption corn? this may be at a higher price.
But that is still much higher than ,
