I was at a gun show (Perth) last weekend and saw a whack of old rifles for sale for between $75 and $125.....a guy from the GTA could invest $1-2K, made a few deals. Drive back to the ByBack depot and drop off G'Pa's gun collection and get $200 each for them.
A good days work and could almost double your money :)
It's funny that the only photos the media show are from the gun seizures of the newer smuggled firearms before this "amnesty" took effect. Of course,they wouldn't want to show $305K worth of garbage guns that no one in their right minds would load rounds into lest they blew their fingers or half their face off while firing and all stacked up like scrap metal,would they? Sure enough,Brian Lillie has photos of turned in firearms in today's Toronto Sun. Not one of them is worth $50,but,the City of Toronto is coughing up $250-$350 each. Only a dingbat Liberal would see that as a good thing. The owners who turned them in sure will,though.

What a bunch of junk. I chopped a few handguns like those because I had no hope in selling them !
The long guns are all from some guys junk gun collections. I hope Ford takes them to task !!
Those old handguns, a few of them would fit into antique status, or be very close, I see a couple there that I know I have seen before during some antique research. Anything made before 1898 with antique status would be at minimum $500, the threshold between 1897 and 1898 can mean $2000 depending on the gun, Webley pistols (the dark blued one) are very valuable in their antique form, that one looks to be a later model but that is just based on the grips and I do not know if that varied.Quote:
