I don’t wear a mask for me. I wear a mask because I understand there is a chance I could be carrying the virus and not show any signs of being ill and I care about my community. I know, that makes me a sheep.
The virus does not just travel on its own, it travels in droplets. Droplets are contained by wearing a mask.
If I was worried about some daft tool not wearing a mask and getting their droplets in my eye(s) then I would use a shield or some other eye protection.
No matter what Karren blogged about the mask in no way decreases the amount of oxygen when you inhale. Masks are a bit of a chore and take some getting used to but that is what you do if you care about your community and want to return to “normal” as soon as possible.
Four months ago there weren't enough masks, and virtually zero reusable masks, available to the people who needed it most. Now that production has ramped up and a reusable mask cottage industry has started, there are many options. No excuses. Not wearing a mask when near others is just being a silly bunt and everyone who sees you knows it.
None of that means squat of course because there is nothing there that hasn’t been said by actual literal experts in the field and many have shown that they are not willing to heed their advice. The unfortunate thing is it isn’t always the ones who scoff at the guidelines and become seriously ill.
KF....Well said. But I will add....might kill others than themselves.
Well we wore a face cover in all the stores we visited today. Durham across the rd will be mandatory on the 10th and york region is a little slow but they were talking a while ago about it. It will eventually become mandatory on the lower half of Ontario.
Stay safe everyone.

It seems this thread again suffers from politics.........it took a left turn..where our friends from the left they say to the rest how it is all,how all should be ,and all that is a "gospel".
I do wear a mask(mandatory in Guelph anyway)but hey ,with the mask i got at least some of my LIFE back(not the My Outdoors Life-that thread went south by some unneeded, unfitting and unprovoked post)but my real life. As i knew it.
Do i think it is protecting me-and ppl around me: maybe?( i tend to believe it is better then nothing)BUT for sure it gives Politicians a" way out from this",so they can slowly give back what we all need badly-OUR LIFE!
So-bring on the mask, bring on the 2 m distance, bring on many other (needed-unneded-who knows)limitations-BUT please ,HURRY UP,and let us live normal life again.
Sorry Fisher but those are facts, not opinions, our puppet PM lied to the country about international air travelers being screened upon arrival.
Big difference between facts and opinions.
Funny thing is they take my plasma to extract the Antibodies, but I still have to wear the mask till we get in the room.
Then the staff tell me I can take it off. It's a joke. There's a older Doctor that called me " Omega Man " once. Nurse gave him a strange look, and he just sighed and said he suddenly felt old.
