Funny how they went into Ottawa gunning to get rid of Trudeau only to have O'Toole get dumped.

By the sounds of it, the original trucker group that started the protests has mainly vacated the city, the current protesters are not organized into one group. Interesting comment the chief made when one councillor asked about protesters bringing weapons to parliament hill. Apparently they have information that leads them to believe there might be firearms at the protest.
The majority of councillors are frustrated with the whole ordeal and want it to end. The Chief says he has no authority to end the protest and is looking to his colleagues in the OPP or RCMP to take on some responsibility. They have been in talk with the military, should they need help either policing the city or removing large vehicles.
It is costing the city well over 800,000 a day for all costs incurred due to the protests.
Much more was said, but these were the main talking points. To me it honestly sounded like the chief was more than willing to let another higher level of authority take the reins.
