My '17 Silverado just rolled over 70K. I pulled the wheels and checked the brake pads and measured the rotors. The left front pads are down to 50%,the rights are at 70%. The rears still have lots left on them. The rotors still have lots left without having them turned and the rear e-brake shoes and drums are in excellent shape. The brake fluid needed about an ounce and a half to top up. Over all,I'm pretty impressed with how they've held up with the heavy use I put it through (Z71 0ff road) on the camp roads and boat ramps. All I need to change is the rubber. Factory tires aren't what they used to be. I can't believe the price increase for new tires. They're almost double from what they were 5 years ago.

Just did my brakes on my 17 1500 sierra. Had 110,000k on them.

Bought front brakes for $74, rears for $58, just smoothed out any grooves or ridges on the rotors with a grinder flap disk, cleaned up and installed. All parts are OEM ac Delco pads as well.

Fronts likely had 25% left and rears 50% too. Easy to do as well. I'll replace rotors as well next time.

We have a 2011 Caravan that I am squeezing the last ounces of life out of. 240,000km.

We have done front and rear brakes at least 6 times each. I guess they’re known for that - plus my wife learned to drive from her family in Quebec (never any coasting always gas or brake)

That's how 90% of people drive now adays. Drives me insane, constantly brake lights on and off, everyone doing 80,90 then 100 then mass braking then 80 again.

Have people tail gate me because I'm coasting and not braking, then they change lanes thinking I'm hanging back hoping to pass, Then they gotta brake hard to get back behind me so they don't get stuck in the slow lane. I really gotta get a new job so I'm not driving to the city in rush hour, Its driving me batty lol

I would think that 240,000 km is a little too low for it being the last few ounces of life.
My last 3 vehicles were well above 400,000 km and were still running good when I sold them.
My current vehicle is a 2009 GMC Sierra with just over 430,000 km and still going strong. I have a new truck coming eventually when they get it finished due to the shortage.
