Thank you Finsfurfeathers, you said it correctly. I dont think this is about not wanting anyone to use your stands on public land, this is about not wanting anyone on the areas you placed your stands on. As he said, you don't own the land, therefore you must cooperate and share.
Deer Hunter, respectfully you said that you wont "walk in a cut that’s hunted", yet you did, even though the guy was there first, so what really bothered you, that the guy was in your stand or was in "your" (not) area?
I for one would not use someone else's tree stand, but I would absolutely not be chased out of a public hunting area that I know I have a right to be in and I was there first, and will use all legaI avenues at my disposal to preserve that right. Everyone has cell phones, cameras and trail cameras these days, and a call to the MNR and the OPP will be made at the first hint of a threat to me or my personal property from anyone trying to chase me out of an area I know I have every right to be in.
That's all I have to say about this topic friends. Cheers and please lets all get along - hunters are their own worst enemies.
