So instead of complaining why not make a contribution? What do you hunt? How do you hunt? What do you fish? What guns interest you? Tell us your best field story? Do you own hunting dogs? What's the funniest hunt you've had? The most meaningful? Upland, big game, fly fishing, trolling (the fishing kind) what's your thing?
Pointing out problems is easy. Why not be part of the solution?
So lets cut him some slack as everyone has the right to their opinion. Hopefully his comment was made in an honest effort to improve the forum in the long run. In the same sentiment hopefully he takes to heart what he can do to improve the forum immediately. in the mean time enjoy

Maybe the guy kicked the door in...maybe he meant no harm.
For sure he was rubbed the wrong way for that...if one is asking me.
First-lets mop up the floor with him, then ask clarifying questions.
At the end ,give him suggestions.
I for sure will appreciate the comments to come: Hey,he is a grown up, he should be able to take it!
Heard it more then once.
Yet- WE are not grown ups? To take it, be a bit political, and perhaps listen?
Maybe....... i am just naïve.
Gentlemen, please talk amongst yourselves. I do not believe that most of you want to discuss “This forum is dead”
The point is made.

To mods who get all defensive:
That's why your churn is high and new folks don't really participate..
You can talk about statistics (that users don't see [emoji85]) all you want, but I have been watching this forum for a while and find pretty much the same group of folks chatting (no one new)
I am pretty sure there is a better approach to handle a new guy who makes a genuine suggestion

Sorry if the mods may seem to come off as defensive, its not, more like shock and awe that put forth the solution to more active participation is a total forum overhaul to make it look more pretty. When in reality as the member put forth all that is need is..
If all members new and old would quit their complaining and just did the above you'd see much more activity. For those that just sit back and take from the forum continue to do so that's just fine, just don't whine about it then.
Most fishing and hunting forums have seen a decline in activity in recent years . Lots are using the Facebook groups .
I'll stay here and other forums never mind that Facebook garbage lol.
