i definately wouldnt let it walk on my farm, or at the inlaws, even if the pups were with it...
couple years back at the inlaws farm we were haveing a bear problem, kept knocking down the fences, and one of the horses got a mysterious wound on it, we think potentially from the bear... well low and behold i look out the window and there is a sow with a cub out in the field about 100 yds from the horses... so i grabbed my rifle and started walking down the road, i wasnt even gonna shoot the bear just was gonna fire some shots off to scare it away, and the neighbour came out yelling at me that i couldnt shoot it because it had a cub, well she didnt like my response... i told her i was planning on shooting the cub 1st lol, then said i could shoot it if i wanted as its a nuisance but i am choosing not to. (funny fact is her husband just got charged with poaching a deer out of season) couple shots into the ground near the bear and she never came back.

Legal and doing a good deed. Help a farmer, retain the right to hunt...seems all good to me... No guilt here.
