That bill would achieve nothing, because there is no LGR data to work from outside Quebec.

Ignore Lilley. The copy that exists includes Quebec LGR data only. And it was retained because of a court order -- nobody is defying the SCC here. A copy of CFIS as at 3 Apr 2015 was retained under seal, and all LGR data was deleted from the system. This backup is the only known copy & its existence should surprise no one -- it has been discussed on this board in the past.

If I remember correctly Que also had the largest percentage of non compliance with the gun registry ..making it even more useless.

Unless one is served papers by the court, you don't have to accept unknown mail or answer an unknown phone number. Its simple non-compliance. IMO what ever provincial party in Quebec is pushing for it will proly see themselves kicking stones come election time.

It is Quebec we are talking about ... so we shall see...


Send that letter with tracking and signature to anyone in the old registry and anyone with a PAL and put the RCMP, firearms laws and Liebral unicorn wishes and you can see what happens with the Census but probably worse if you ignore it.

Justlied said after this he wouldn't create "a new registry" ...... I am just wondering if they are playing with words again like "tiny debt" ... $10B that they are now talking $38B for this year alone (more than the total he promised for all 4 years of his term) and he then said balanced in 2055 and now when asked yesterday said he won't speculate .... word games???? I wonder.... I mean after all Parliament and the Supreme court both said the data could be destroyed, the RCMP said it was and now a unicorn has brought a copy from the past??

Possibly,it may not be as outdated as one would think.......... if it was to still exist. We must remember that most hunters and competitors usually buy their firearms ONCE and not many switch them up once they own them. That would make the same firearms in the hands of the same people,therefore,the data would still be intact.
