Well with the wind slowing down and the sun out I decided to go for a walk and see if I could bag any cottontails. Ended up with 4, was a nice day to be out in the field.Attachment 36407Attachment 36408

Nice......
is a dog is a must for rabbit hunting ?
No absolutely not, I have had luck just kicking at brush piles and walking thru heavy cover. But a dog makes it easier.Quote:

I might head out tomorrow to a crown land spot I haven’t gone to in years. Gotta get me my first
Anyone else going out tomorrow?
Nice going! That's some mighty good cover (coupled with good shooting!) for a lone guy to end the day with 4!
I haven't been out yet, but will continue with the new pup training as soon as this freeze lets up.

Been out a few times and bagged a couple of bunnies so far. Seen lots of bunnies in my neck of the woods.
Anybody had any luck at Luther for rabbits?
In 4 years I've seen 2, shot 1.

Looking to go out somewhere near Burlington, Ive taken a look at the crown land in the area and there really isnt much. I also took a look at the tracts but as far as I can tell from the information online any hunting other than Turkey and Deer isnt allowed.
