They were interviewing on man that was driving behind the attacker and when he took a drink during the interview you could see how badly he was shaking. His hand and the water were visibly shaking badly! The responders have to deal with incidents like this all the time when there is a fire, a car crash etc. so I would expect they have some support available ... if not they deserve it! Terrible crimes and accidents are part of what they have to deal with and they do amazing. I remember near where I worked in downtown Toronto on University a car hit another and the 2nd went up on the sidewalk crushing a woman, i have heard of similar several times since then. The responders had to deal with those and thousands more since then and no one should take lightly or underestimate the impact that has on their lives!
P.S.
We saw a police officer that responded well and had the time to interpret correctly but in other situations they didn't have the time, the light or the chance to do that. In the mean time we have idiots making stupid statements from isolated offices and couches and if the attacker had a gun and the officer didn't..... IF is a scary word sometimes.

Firearm-free police? Green Party calls for patrollers to give up guns

The police officer used his gun appropriately (to control the situation and use as a last resort) since he had the time, optics and training here and should be commended. More training and other tools (stun guns, tasers...) should be available too I think but sometimes it just seems some are incapable of seeing the reality of the real world.
