Pretty sure my interpretation is right.
If you are not with the animal, the tag must be attached to it.
If stopped by conservation officer, then you must provide tag license holder information....
You just can't get your buddies tag and put it on and be done with it.... You must also be prepared to give your buddies info to the conservation officer if stopped...Then you can be rest assured they will follow up with your buddy to determine if the facts add up....(time, place, location etc....) But thanks for bringing this up to all our attention, interpreting the regs or even information in print can be tricky.

So,I found out (for Turkey). I posted this on another thread,but,I'll post it here,too,FYI. I called two ServiceOntario outlets only to find that they only do motor vehicle registration and neither one could tell me which outlet sold hunting licences and tags,in fact,one person I spoke with had a look like she just stepped in dog crap when I asked about hunting licenses. I decided to try to navigate the internet site only to have one hell of a time as others have described. I was using Google Chrome which I've found is incompatible with the vending website. Switching to MS EDGE solved the problem and worked like a charm. I hit the "print" button on the site instead of "download to pdf". Lo and behold,it not only printed the license and tag,but,automatically downloaded to pdf the whole thing. There's a downside to this,though. If I was that way inclined,there's nothing stopping continuous printing of tags. I think we'll have some serious issues to deal with from this system.

Hey Fritri buddy....you just shot a six point buck this morning around 746AM. YOU had to run off to get to work, so you put your tag on and I said I would get it dressed and to the cooler to hang it. Nice six point...just funny how it's got four on the "LEFT" and only two on the RIGHT. Here is a picture just so you "REMEMBER".

I don't think you need to do that anymore either...all the info is on the tag both in print and with a bar code and he'll have the ability to just scan it. He may even be able to access his cell number from file and call your buddy on the spot...Easy Peasy !

All of these interpretations is my concern, we are likely all correct in some way. This new system opens a lot of different possibilities and I think opportunities for those who do choose to break or twist the regs

Well if I was running around with your tag and mine and shot a deer. I could text you the info you needed to hold up your end of the story, along with some pictures. You can tell the co the right things, and since your at work you really need to get off the phone..
