This is straight forward, if you applied the last 5 years you have 5 pts. Now, if you applied the last 2 years, skipped a year (didn't apply)then appiled the two previous years to the skipped year. Would you have 2 points or 4 points?

If you are getting an adult moose tag every year it is definitely going up. If you hunt a WMU where moose numbers and tag numbers are lower you are probably not paying much more and maybe even less. I have paid $50 per year for the last 5 years in WMU 39. I have not got an adult moose tag and I have left the calves alone because I want the moose population to grow in the area. $250 donation over those years. This year if I don't get a tag then I will only be paying $15 for the draw. If it takes me 10 years to accrue enough points for a tag in the future that means I have paid $150 for draw entries over that time plus $35 for a license in the 10th year and $200 at most for the tag in the 10th year. A total of $385 over 10 years as opposed to the $500 I would pay with the system that we currently have. I hope that the new system will help the moose population grow so that I can start to get more frequent tags and the 10 year scenario become obsolete. But honestly I think if we want the populations to grow this is one of the improvements we need to see in the system.Quote:
