Yeah, I did but couldn't figure out if their Lauson small gas engine is a knock-off of the Tecumseh or a design of its own merit. I have to confess I'm not familiar with a Lauson brand. Seems many Tecumseh parts are interchangeable with it though.
From what I have learned it seems the company was just taken over and a name change,these engines were developed for cold weather and I suspect the exact same quality as the original,that is why my repair guy installs them in the bodies of well made older units that need a new engine.These unit's are pretty much bullet proof if you follow the simple instructions about storage and gas type.Typically always known as Snow King, be interesting if a small engine repair guy will comment on here.
I have had this HUSQVARNA ST 224 for about 5 years now. I only use it for front sidewalk and back patio areas. Works well and electric start system is nice on real cold days.
