It’s a little disheartening to see a stated Conservative dumping on the Libertarian so hard without any prompting. In his case, Mark is a veteran and also takes the time to mentor others with hunting - he didn’t deserve what was written. If that’s your way Badenoch, perhaps you’re better off elsewhere.
Libertarian principles are interesting to many, including myself. Correct - they are highly unlikely to form government anytime soon, but I believe their influence would be helpful if we had a first-past-the-post system and seats were awarded based on voting percentages. Guess we won’t have that as promised since Justin figured out it would hurt the Liberals.
Sadly, one of the downfalls of democracy is that parties that opt for austerity don’t last long enough in power to see it through. Humanity is generally weak, no leader can deliver what’s needed because those that depend on the government will always vote for whoever helps them live OFF the government, or in other words, live off those who work hard for their livelihood. Sad isn’t it, the Libertarian way only works in small, like-minded groups living apart from the rest.
