Rural crooks know that there's a very high probability of getting shot at by an irate farmer, the main reason they wait until no one is around. They also know that when or if seen, there's no easy means of escape and the likelihood of being recognized is quite high. Farmer's dogs can be very problematic for them, too. OPP and Regional Police services get to know who the retards are and can almost guarantee who pulled the pisser as soon as they get the occurrence. That was the beauty of community policing for us. The idiots could run but they couldn't hide.
Just a question, again,Joe. Sorry to be a pest, but, how many people keep firearms around their homes for quick access that are secured in the meantime? Children messing with unsecured firearms seems to be a real serious issue.
