That fact that there was more tonnage of bombs dropped on North Vietnam, than was dropped in all the second world war indicates what the fighting abilities were of the Yanks and they had no hesitation killing civilians to win a war. Well they actually lost Vietnam.

Uh.... but in your post as usual you aren't the thinking person.... any THINKING person would think that the nukes were a good solution, the firebombing tactics were killing far more, the invasion would probably be 10 or 20X the casualties at a minimum (much more if civilians are calculated with disease, starvation etc) and gave the Japanese an excuse to put their country ahead of honour in a hopelessly lost cause. The fact that Tallboy and Fatman were the only nukes available for perhaps a year was unknown to them and the prospect of a single bomber taking out a city a week allowed made the surrender obvious to them.

Once again you seem confused, the bloody nose STARTED the war and why do you talk about the land mass... that is a rather idiotic comparison, Canada's land mass is comparable to the US... we wouldn't last until lunch time if they invaded and India and China are much smaller and about the same but 3X the US's current population. The Japanese population was around half that of the US in WW2 and the US was fighting Italy, Germany and Japan

There are many cases the US should have just ignored something in the world or handled it different in hind sight like the weapons that ended up in ISILs hand but to many an ideology that even has lying as part of gaining an advantage just seems incomprehensible to some, some just can't see evil as evil. (See new Liberal bill C-5 for example, ISIL members contribute to Canada.... clueless on reality)

Well your statements on the US show the usual disdain and prejudice, but if true that should make Canada with its OIC, anti-self defence laws, 50% of the year just paying taxes, increasing taxes, lies, coverups, using COVID as an "opportunity" (Trudeau and Freelands words) and I can show you lots of people that take the pay not their vacation here too, but if your fiction is true Canada is just short of turning Canadians into serfs for the elites and Lords, essentially the loved 2030 plan I guess... Not sure about healthcare slaves? Every family member of mine living down south simply pay a small amount per paycheck like any other tax that covers their Healthcare.

Americans have more rights and freedoms than we have here.
Don't see any slaves, just Americans enjoying living free.

Your right....I looked into it when my wife was contemplating working in New Hampshire. It was something like $200 US a month for full Health Care. .

What I found interesting was almost every service had a separate 'user fee'..ie: for the Fire Dept to come and fight a fire..otherwise, they would just make sure everyone was safe and then just watch your house burn down. HaHa.

What appealed to me....the state moto...'Live Free or Die". :)

That motto would send the left into full triggered mode, they seem to substitute "and" for the "or".

The fees are illegal in many states but often for areas where there is no municipality fire departments, there are about 4% that are private companies and 70% are manned by volunteers. I wouldn't expect volunteers to risk their lives to save a house, they choose to volunteer to save lives, can't ask for more than that reasonably. I don't know if it is true or not but with the defund the police idiocy I HEARD (never looked for the evidence so it might be someones opinion, not factual) that alot of fire departments (and police) are chronically underfunded in blue (Democrat) states (probably some red states too) and often end the year with deficits and have started adding fees where allowed. What do you do when you are a private (or small community) fire department and owe tens of hundreds of thousands at the end of the year...

A basic fire truck or engine with no equipment on it can cost as little as $250,000, but the price can go up to $6 million (rarely) depending on the type of vehicle. Then there’s the equipment too which can cost more than the truck itself.

New Hampshire has a few 'Tax' quirks that require more user fees to get services. I looked into it going on 30 yrs ago, so maybe things have changed...but at the time that was the way it was :
