Sorry for late report.
Travelled to Ottawa area for first weekend. Staying at my sister and hunted with three nephews. One of them was his first time. He shot a nice Tom on opening morning and I shot mine shortly after 8 with my other nephew missing one. Second morning the first time nephew shot a Jake and it was exciting for the rest of us as birds were all over but following hens and not getting close to us. Third day was similar with lots of birds but none were coming in to us. Great time with the family. Seen lots of birds and heard lots of gobbling and in my books was a very successful hunt.
My Tom was shot with a Mossberg 935 with Indian Creek Turkey choke with red dot shooting #5 3-1/2” Federal.
