The problem with the info at that link is they tell us exactly how much license money came in and then give a long list of all the good things they did with that money, but with no dollar figures attached....which, if you are familiar with government financing means the total spent on those items was far less than the dollars which came in. But since there are no values given for expenditures, that document is pretty much useless as to determining where it was spent.

"Operating expenditures for the Fish and Wildlife Program, including enforcement, amounted to $108.5 million in fiscal year 2010//11. Approximately 60% of these expenditures (64.5 million) were supported by recoveries form the Fish and Wildlife SPA. The remaining $44 million in program expenditures were supported by funding from the CRF."

That's all the details we get.

Try to find out from MNR just how much they spent on OMFRA enforcement - I know that the pig butchering stakeout in Carlsbad springs and subsequent unsuccessful prosecution took up many man-months of one CO's time.

Maintaining a sustainable herd is not the same as keeping deer alive. In many areas, if the MNR was truly trying to maintain a sustainable herd, they'd have to be culling the overpopulation of deer since hunting isn't doing it. Imagine the whining then.<br>Personally I'm looking forward to less of the white-tailed vermin this year.

We have a deer feeding program in the Huntsville to Parry Sound areas There is a fund that is tax deductable and it runs every year. The feeding is done by volunteers which I am one of many. This program has been going on for some 40 years now so it is not a one shot organization.
Here is their web;;; www.wwfp.ca A fellow named Wally Smith is the president.
I have about 45-50 deer right now being fed in my location , some fellows have as many as 80-100. Most of the volunteers have been doing this for 20 years or more.

Werner I'm not claiming that document is a detailed list of expenditures , I posted this to show that licence revenues go to the spa and can only be spent on certain projects , in the case of mnr supplying enforcement to omfra those cost would be recoverable from ministry of agriculture and food

Great job , IMHO these type of projects at the grassroots levels get more done then involving bureaucrats to swallow up funding
