After consulting with Fisheries Policyand Enforcement we have found that it would be legal to keep the pike in yourscenario so long as it was within the legal limit and the sunfish wasn'tintentionally used as bait. If a Conservation Officer had reasonablesuspicion that you were letting the pike eat the sunfish then it would beconsidered as bait. In this case the pike would be illegally harvested assunfish are not a listed live baitfish species.
