I find the more you bleed the faster service you receive [emoji5][emoji106].
South lake is great some times they have the 1 hour fast track in and out lol. Usually more than a hour tho.

King city I was in 15 minutes. Bleeding from the top of my head. I said I need a few stitches they said I would have to wait my turn and no doctor was able to see me.

I took the rag off my head and stopped holding the wound closed ,the blood ran down my the side of me head. They immediately took me in [emoji1787][emoji1787].

They didn't want to clean up the mess as I just let it bleed lol. A few stitches and I was out with 15 minutes back at work.

Another time at Southlake 4 hours waiting for 47 stitches she wasn't a bleeder bled like snot for 1 minutes then stopped when I put a towel on it. Its pretty insane to see the inside of you without any blood. 3 rows of inside stitches and 17 on out side .

Ironically - About a year I posted a question and asked if we had any preppers here. I require nothing.

Lets just say, provided the power and water stays on - I have no need to leave my house for a year.

If the power goes out - I will have power and water for 60 days

Yeast - 10lbs of Red Star (Mexico) from Costco frozen in freezer - 120lbs of flour - 250lbs of Red Wheat berries and 3 gain mills

First aid/Meds/Antibiotics - I have 100 X 500mg pills of the 10 most common antibiotics - vacuum sealed, ready for use - and a nurse for a wife

Salt/Sugar - 250lbs - Honey/Maple Syrup 60/80lbs

Solar power - genset/s with enough gas to run 6hrs per day for 2 months

Canned/Dehydrated/preserves for 1 yr

Firearms - all good, reloading with components stocked

I have been out twice (for elderly neighbour) and for myself and got Milk/Butter and fresh garlic and wont need those once we move to homestead (delay because of this)

I did not buy a single panic item, I had no reason to and yet I watched the panic buying going, long lines, people couldn't find yeast or flour for two first weeks. The lines and great social experiment that is going is only confirms everything I have done to be prepared.

The biggest thing I have noticed is people are now thinking about food security - people now have been exposed to fragility of 3 day.."just in time delivery service" (trucking industry) and how quickly it will be gone when a real event occurs. My hope and dream is that, this event inspires people to think about self sufficiency - back to the land movement and being more responsible for your own food security.

For those that wonder:

I am a non essential government worker who has defied my union advice and goes into work 3 days week to keep people paid.
My wife is a Nurse
My Son is a cashier at Loblaws
My daughter is living off internet - not sure where she is the house at anytime...
We have adjusted our lives to be safe without the restriction of EMA. We are doing what we can do to help our neighbors - as this event has a return to normal end state.

Be kind and help with you got, I have baking bread products since first day of lockdown and giving to neighbours, posting how to online (get more followers then my political posts for cooking basics..lol)

Seems were are now forced to shop more often for basics. Normally we'd buy a flat of soups or can milk, paper products or whatever when it comes on sale. We never considered it hoarding. Now, we can only buy 2 of this or two of that which means we now have to go back to the store. More trips, more gas...…….

Put your maple syrup in deep freezer if your holding large volumes maple syrup in glass tin or plastic bottle are fine in deep freezer. It won’t freeze solid I’ve never froze honey

Freezing maple syrup will keep sugar from settling out into crystals

My thoughts exactly. Also pisses me off that I used to get 3 months of pill supply and now they only dispense one month.
