woodcock on the move

Put only 1 up today down towards Windsor area, flew long and strong.
Was out for a couple hours and would have thought we'd run into a handful..

2 woodcock and an ESG yesterday. 4 woodcock today.

Not the greatest pic, but it's tough to get a pic of them on the move. This bird is from last week in London. Pointed by a Weimaraner.

LOL that's what I was thinking when you posted earlier. Last couple days out found nothing around here other than 3 deer and 4 cottontails.

The woods in Michigan were full of woodcock this past week end. Don't they move through ON eventually or do they stay there?

One took off this morning while walking my dog, in Muskoka.

3 woodcock and a mostly changed snowshoe yesterday. :)
