The point I made and continue to make is that not only was the original cartoon misrepresented it was misinterpreted.
You've gone completely off the rails. You've listed numerous things that you think back up your position but your position has zero to do with what this is about but you continue to bring up more things that have nothing to do with my point.
You also seem to think that because I disagree with you (on the original point) that must be on the other side.

What I seriously and I do mean seriously don't understand, is why some (not really counting you) continue to dispute things, its mind boggling when the mountains of…………..…
Now on that topic of the cartoon when/if you consider it (theres merit).
The vote buying of the GTA vs crickets for the rest of the province be it rural or the North. Look at unemployment numbers for say the GTA and say…..Peterboro (let I saw almost 20%)..Same boat?

The pandering to Unions (which in turn has benefited a good chunk of PS but not all) for their support. Can you say COs are in the same boat as the OPP or Teachers? Lets just use them..
Even say "Orpp" which doesn't tax everyone 4%, but everyone pays for the problematic/expensive DBPs in PS and its taxing people who are already bailing, trying to stay afloat…just like that cartoon.
When some in PS have been getting raises out of touch with inflation and despite the infamous "hold the line uttered by McGuinty in 2010 and all the warnings from rating agencies, economist and more.
When you consider the job losses outside vs little pain for um friends and the fact they've done little and as a result more downgrades.
Can you really blame them, those that "misrepresented" it ? is Everyone in Ontario truly in the same boat? Um no, not everyone is.
Given whats going on lets say, just on this one thing if you earned 75k and had that pension (no real need to find 2 nickels) and your neighbour likewise earned the mean but didn't have any pension and whose mtg was higher because all else equal he who has a Pension can concentrate paying off the mtg (see above article about peons trying to pay for their kids, housing taxes and save)

Funny that. But thats the cost of ignoring the majority for the few. Even the money they are finally spending on infrastructure after 8 long years….What the hell don't they rake in 120b a year already? Wheres it go?

The "middle class" has been taking it on the chin for years here in Ontario while many others……
And if we go historical trends its been shown the middle class is shrinking, everyones Quality of Life is going down, since around the 60s

So while yes the cartoon (and aren't all political cartoons satire?) was misrepresented. Was it really? If if so (lets agree) can you really blame some people.
So why "shoot" them as a couple did and do often with all the threads? When really theres soooooooooooooo much that bears so many things out, so many debates/threads here in years gone by.

Jben, did you read my #35 post?? Kudos, accolades and many thanks for your commitment, time and effort that. All your posts, links,and thoughts are not just something you make up, pretty factual and on the money. So much so that some , after many complaints about you and getting set straight want to change the subject and/ or context midstream. No refuting, no disputing, no contradictions, just change the channel!!!! Thanks again Jben, keep up the good work and don't wear your keyboard out trying to appease the " certain ones " I alluded to in post #35. And don't think for a minute they don't know who they are!!!!???????
I did bushman and thanks. Something some don't have or realize is having the convinction and "back bone" to stand up for what one believes in.

What you don't seem to grasp is that the good ship Ontario is sinking. Just as many refused to believe 5 years ago (2010) and even today. And while "everyone" is onboard and should it completely sink, while all go down. In reality we know it won't, or that, that is highly unlikely.
Currently, there are those taking the brunt, in some cases breaking their backs (the working stiffs, at least those who still have jobs ) while others sit high and dry looking down at the peons ( I wonder who, can you say many on the left or in Unions or in the GTA where things aren't "as bad" as say rural Ont?) . Without realizing they are only.......
Said simply, or would you disagree that many haven't "done their part"...haven't felt it...aka many is PS/Unions who largely are "immune to downturns" and who keep voting...despite the obvious state of the boat...or maybe they simply don't care about the peons, (like the two in the bow) after all they have it relatively good and retirement is on the horizon, they are out.....
So one those who misrepresent it. Did they really and two...can you blame them. Your sounding an awful lot like one of the two at the bow.
And I guess you don't agree you just admitted it. Hence so many illustrations of how not all, are really in the same boat. Glad your feet are dry

There is nothing wrong with seeing things differently. We are allowed to. Here, at our places of employment, with our friends/spouses. That's life.
