In that article he was in Dubai opening a new Tim's, likely while his wife buys 5000.oo dollar purses, Yet he is worried about a dollar an hour. But for an accident of birth he would be serving the coffee behind the counter. Nobody needs a BILLION dollars no matter how it was acquired. Look at the Costco model as compared to Wall-mart. One group has a conscience.
Seems the Bank of Canada is including the Alberta jump too, seems the Liberals and NDP both don't like youth and women working.

I just checked the tables and a person in Ontario making $300,000+ is now taxed at a 53.3% ..... any one that makes $300,000 is being taxed $159,000, to say it is fair is completely detached from reality. There are deductions etc to bring it down but this is just encouraging the brightest and best to leave .... or maybe that's what the Liberal's want, the accomplices (Stalin, Castro etc. didn't act alone) and the dumb (including those jealous or in contempt of the competent) left to keep them in power. :whacked: I grew up with a mother on welfare and all I see in this are the ideologues and idiots wanting to take what has taken decades of work to make, my income is down almost 40% from 4 years ago thanks to businesses leaving etc. (One customers CEO announced they were leaving 3 days after the Wynne win)
There is also alot more in this union kiss a** bill besides the increase... and throw in some new enforcement staff, just to make things even harder... definitely trying to buy the unions and kill anything not gov't owned.

You are also deflecting from the original point, in that a business, owned by whomever with whatever net worth they have, has a right to manage itself. Tim Horton's is a publicly traded corporation, wherein franchisees have to remit a certain amount of profits. I guess a business owner is just expected to take the kick to the stones, and keep walking......
Mosq do not mislead people , The report does not say 60,000 jobs will be lost, but that 60,000 fewer jobs will be created . In November 80,000 new jobs were created , so the lost in jobs is less than one months job creation. Nice story about it from some economists in todays Star .BBD the purse reference was to show that some people will never have enough money to waist on frills, while so many others do without necessities. Life and economics, should not necessarily be totally fair but it should be more fair.

5/8ths of the jobs were part time and are probably gone now that Christmas is over, .... we will see a huge drop in actual jobs and hours worked too. Metro and Tim Hortons are already taking steps to mitigate the damage and once businesses have time to look at this and the other sh** the job losses will start and prices go up and so will the spin.
