She never had a judgement against Omar Khadr.
Her and Layne Morris's judgement was against Omar's father Ahmad Said Khadr.
No where was Omar listed as a defendant.

Btw: The US government seized all of Ahmad Khadr's money for themselves and have refused giving it to to complainants.
Another thing is this case was in 2006. In 2008 Layne recanted his testimony about Omar throwing the grenade before Omar's trial. Reason for recanting it was because the lone survivor of the attack which Speer's was killed stated there was no way that Morris could have seen Omar throw the grenade do to the fact that Morris was injured earlier and was evacuated before the attack that killed Speer's happened. No one at Omar's trial could state that they seen him throw the grenade.

Long,dry read is right. It still doesn't alter the fact that there IS a judgement against Omar Khadr and the Liberals paid it out in such a way as to protect that payment from being frozen. That fact,alone,now,makes them complicit. This was not well thought out,at all. It brings Canada and Canadians to look like a nation of terrorist sympathizers,adding fuel to the fire that we can't be trusted in the global fight against Al Qaeda and ISIS/ISIL.

Did YOU read the link you posted? It clearly explains the suit, precedent consideration, defendants, plaintiff's standing and settlement.

Furthermore, the widow/lawyers have asked Canada via a petition filed in Ontario Superior Court to hold any monies to be paid to Omar Khadr AND RECOGNIZE AND HONOR THE SETTLEMENT AGAINST HIM IN UTAH 2015.

It also asks for interest accrued and lawyer fees of 900,000 dollars.

Apparently, the radical hugging left regime of Turdo have circumvented that.

How does one attribute any moral equivalency between a terrorist and a "soldier" as described and accepted by all the world's law including the Geneva Convention etal.

He was NOT a child soldier by any definition of any a law other than the spineless left and a shameful toy soldier like Dallaire.

Interesting read. The report said Khadr was sitting up and moving, with his back to the combatant, while the other combatant was lying on his side. If Khadr was in as bad of shape as the report makes him out (having sustained the wounds to his eyes), he would be lying down as opposed to sitting up and not mobile, rather than moving around. I have had a few concussions from sports and the last thing I wanted to do was move around. Furthermore, the report says Khadr had his back turned when the grenade was thrown. So he was moving when OC-1 shot him but somehow we are to believe he stayed completely immobile within the 90 seconds from beginning of compound approach to him getting shot? That is a big leap of logic. I suppose it comes down to who is the more credible witness about who threw the grenade. A person who has taken up arms against the country of his birth or a soldier from an allied nation who determined that Khadr threw the grenade based on what he saw when he got into the compound. I know who I find a more reliable witness.

Now Khadr is changing his story about what happened. He doesn't remember throwing the grenade which killed Speer. So which is it? Did he or did he not do it? When he apologized to Speer's widow, he took responsibility for his actions. Now does his statements mean he doesn't? I find it funny that in the 1940's young people who were underage were volunteering to war and many of them were 15 years old (and some of them got in). Throughout the decades, we have acknowledged their actions as a 15 year old combatant but there are some out there who can't acknowledge Khadr was a combatant at 15 years old.

In the sleaziness of liberal politics the only thing that matters is feelings and optics. Well, now those feelings and optics have been used against the left.

All that the voting public feels and sees is that a self professed murderer and terrorist has hit the lottery without purchasing a ticket and that Jr. wrote the check.

In addition many Canadians have served their country, or have relatives that did AND have suffered losses, some recently, even at the hands of terrorists.
Canadians I know are also empathetic towards surviving family members especially WIDOWS.

This is going to leave a mark that the left's BS propaganda machine can't buff out.

The fact remains that even if he didn't throw it he aided and abetted in acts of terrorism, including the creation of IED.

As for "child soldier" .... that is just B.S. .... he was a terrorist NOT a soldier ....
