Is anyone else getting really sick of the teachers unions radio ad -THREAD?

.....and I think the word you were looking for is bifurcated......there is more than two bifurcated ideologies. I fail to grasp how one would reference binary to a political ideology when by definition it is something made of two things or parts specifically. A political ideology is made up of many different factors, opinions and ideas and in some cases dogmatic beliefs.

I sure remember what it felt like when everybody and their uncle were peeing all over autoworkers and the Union when GM pulled the plug and took 100,000 Canadian jobs to Mexico. It was wrong then and it's just as wrong with teachers,now.

I do not remember a time, or at least I have never been upset with private sector unions. If the union can squeeze GM for better wages and/or better benefits then go for it, but there is a point where GM reaches that line in the sand and says enough is enough packs up and moves those jobs to Mexico. IMHO the union failed it's workers - it failed to see the delicate balance of profitability, a healthy, happy & productive work force, and ROI.

Public sector unions (Teachers Union) do not have this fear - they can push all they want because there are no repercussions other than a lengthy strike.

Seen enough companies close or move because of unions.

Lots of my family lives in Oshawa and worked making cars, they all slowly trickled out because they saw what the union was doing. When you have a janitor making $42/hr with 8 weeks of holidays due to seniority it is really difficult to continue to run a business.
