That's what I was thinking they will be there waiting for him to open . Maybe he will just take the fines and fight them in court.

Could they really make them close or just fine them? How do you force the doors closed ? I guess they could fine the guest as well but if he is willing to take the fine. I don't think they can close without police enforcement and a reason within law.

Just a stab in the dark these are unprecedented times so who knows . Right now it is only a fine for not shutting down I think.

They can force them to close, could easily be under the front of public health, no different than not passing an inspection.

Now that I would donate to 'crowd funding' for...see how far he could push this, from the forced closure to the trial. Be interesting to see how the supreme court handles Jack Boot policing under a questionable 'emergency'.

They do have the ability to close places, that is why bars have limited liquor sales hours and certain items cannot be sold on holidays. If a store opens up for non-essential sales on Christmas they are fined and told to close, they can be forced to close.

The charges could be worse than from the health police. It could fall under the Criminal Code (R.S.C. 1985 C-46 ...Criminal Negligence......219 (1)( b), ....'shows wanton or reckless disregard for the lives or safety of other persons'.
