I see lots of deer there.. just never the ones I have tags for.. you have any idea how difficult land is to get around here? majority of properties here are people that came from the city and would take let you hunt.. I have properties but I'm only allowed to hunt geese... no ducks.. no coyote... just geese.. (crop damage)..
so before you call someone lazy for using public land maybe think he / she just can't get land near them to hunt.

Years ago I found 3 guys using MY duck-blind on "opening-day" . I'd built it the week before and left my name on it . There were no other blinds within 1/4 mile each way . When they refused to leave I anchored my boat ~ 50' away from them . I reversed my jacket as well as my hat to show the blaze-orange side . Every time a "speck-in-the-sky" became visible I stood up and moved around . Needless to mention that no ducks approached us close enough to warrant any shooting . --- 3-4 hrs. later they "got the drift" and moved on . --- Just to be sure I'd kept an eye on them and my gun ready . --- On account of a lot of foul language I'd invited them to meet me on shore but they didn't take me up on it . --- To me it would've been a "sparring-session" without having to go to the club .

How I see it you were being as big of an azz as they were. gun ready? brawling? Is that what we have been reduced to? Sure would be nice if sportsman respect each other but to they same extent don't be cavemen about it. Quite honestly your behaviour was worst than theirs.

I had an issue this year we were on private property that had been hunted 5-6 years previously. The guy came back this year and asked my aunt and uncle for permission to hunt even tho we were already there with a blind and cameras so they gave him mine and my bros number and told me to sort it out....this azzhole left a drunken message on my brothers phone accusing us of stealing his spot even tho its my uncles damn farm and he hadnt hunted it in years but when he saw we were hunting it he got jelous and wanted a piece of the action. After hearing the message he left my bro I called him up and we had a 1 sided conversation that entailed me ripping him a new bum hole and told him if he was nice and polite we could have party hunted but instead hes a drunk loser so I kicked him out of the spot for good...but to what the others said its a respect thing just move on...even tho its public land and you could assume the equipment was abandoned we all know what the right thing to do it...some just chose to be bird doggin axeholes

From what I remember about hunting ducks and blinds is.....opening day that blind belonged to the builder hence why the name is left.....after opening day it's fair game first come first serve. That was the unwritten code of ethics I remember and I think the same should go with tree stands. It's public land use it like its public.....first come first serve. Seriously no one gets to CLAIM a spot on public land or water for the entire season.

Like what my brother said hunting spots are like women...YOU DONT SHARE...go find your own spot instead of robbing the people who put in the hard work. It may not be illegal but I may punch your teeth out for using my stuff and ruining my chances and all my hard work and effort which is not legal however personally satisfying...your choice and your risk..and I know guys who would do alot worse to ya...Its all about respect...if you ask to share thats different and I would welcome anyone to party hunt with me but if you self centeredly up and take my spot no problem it is legal but I will find your vehicle and make sure you have a nice long walk home

Seriously.....you're on public land buddy not your property and to put up a blind or tree stand on public land you're doing it at risk of other residents of this province using it. Your woman is your woman........a hunting spot on crown land is up for grabs. You sound like the type of guy who would be pissed about using your parking spot at a mall that you used last weekend. Touch my personal belongings because I used a spot on public land....COWARD. IM RIGHT THERE TO CONFRONT....I'm using it not damaging it.
