You don't worry about one person there, then another, then one of them sees your treestands and in no time your stuff is missing, you find beer bottles smashed all over the place, gut piles and people claiming they have been hunting there for years.Quote:

I can understand what you guys are saying as well. I am speaking from experience, I do own some property up north and every spring when I go up there do I see beer bottles on my shoreline from all the ice fisherman from the previous winter? yes I do. do I care? not much I can do about it it really and yes I do have private property signs all over the place. As long as they don't damage my property I can live with picking up a few bottles.
I am not there to police the property every day all year round, and the police don't have time to police it either. I hope that my no trespassing signs detour majority of people but I know it wont detour all people.
you have to be a little realistic too and understand that unless you on ur property every day, there is not way to police it.
I am not saying trespassing is ok because of course it isn't. but I think property owners need to be a little open to the people just "walking" on their property.
last thing you need is getting someone charged, then they come back to do some real damage!

I once had words with a litter bug on the lake in front of my cottage, when his reply was, " I know where your cottage is, and you can't be here all the time". :scream:Then I knew it may be time to just pick up the litter when they are gone.:silly:
