one sow can have two litters per year, with an average of 12 piglets per litter... it’s like rats and mice... kill 90% of the herd and they are still back next year larger...
when hunted, wild pigs separate and don’t herd up... it’s the reason why some jurisdictions instituted a not hunt policy, as you kill 1 or 2 or 3, the remainder splinter, and breed, they the feed only at night... the focus on trapping the herd and killing them at that point...
