Can a government ‘buyback’ get these guns out of Canadians’ hands?

You might just be right about it being the weakness of some mines, oddly enough a lot of that seems to go unnoticed until after the fact. We played paint ball All the time growing up . It is nonsense to say running around splattering each other with paint could lead into a Syco path killer lol.

I've seen first hand what a paint ball can do point blank to the face. Had friend get into with a bully that shot him in the face . But then again I've seen many things.

There should be no reason to ban paintball guns ,air sort or even a he ar 15 pets kill more than the ar 15 so maybe pets should be banned as they kill far more Canadians then the ar 15.

What's the reason for banning the ar again ? We can't say it's a deadly weapon in Canada as it barely hurts a fly .

If it's about the safety of the public the ar 15 is the least of their concerns.

The gun buy back or ban makes no sense whatsoever.

Looking at this weeks Cabelas flyer they have this black 223 gun on sale.
Running up a hill this "ASSAULT" style weapon is sure to wipe out a resident colony of ground hogs.

Why is it not banned?
Is it because it is a Chinese made Norinco rifle and thus has special privileges?
Warped minds make bad laws.

Paintball isn't going to turn anyone into a killer and I have no interest in seeing it banned. There is a valid point however that it is contrary to firearms training. I've declined invitations to go paintballing because I own real firearms and pointing what looks and acts like a firearm at another person and pulling the trigger runs against my training and is not a habit I want to get into.

Well time for you to train somewhere else. If you feel unsafe with a paintball gun you probably should not own any firearms at all.

Hard for me to understand that kind thinking; after all those hours spent training with a laser tag attached to my chests and on my FN. Hours spent crawling thru the woods in search of enemy, made me a far better deer hunter. :)

But I guess if you can't differentiate between the two activities, maybe you should think twice about carrying a loaded gun.

There is a difference between a game using non lethal weapons and Your real guns that kill people.

If you can't figure out reality vs a game you might have some issues happening lol.

You are not pointing a lethal weapon playing a game of paintballs. You play by the rules and wear your safely goggles it's as safe as playing a came of cards

I guess it was wrong that we spent all those hours as kids playing cowboys and Indians with our cap guns..instilling the 'habit' of pointing guns at our buddies and pulling the triggers...HaHa...

I have on several occasions taken paintballers to the range to let them try the real thing. Soon after they left behind the childish silliness of shooting each other with marking devices and entered the grownup world of shooting and hunting.
