No one is hoping it stays exactly the same. Rather, many hope that it changes for the better, or at least stops getting worse. We can become kinder, more efficient, more productive, etc. without murdering basic truths and common sense. We can incentivize Canadians to have more children via income tax reductions or other benefits for families with 3 or more children, for example. We can fix our severely inflated and unsustainable education system that bankrupts our children to get more degrees than a thermometer in order to take an entry-level office job at $35,000. We can fix our healthcare system. We can bring back manufacturing and other jobs that have been taken overseas at the expense of the vitality and soul of small towns everywhere. We can send less money to other countries and help our vets. We can tackle the opioid crisis (which is related to the loss of jobs in small towns, the breakdown of the family/religion as per JoePa, and the reintegration of vets). These things all make lots of sense.

Many Scots & Irish do speak Gaelic in Scotland & Ireland (and in some parts that’s all they speak), but less and less due to globalization/immigration. We’re all becoming one bland, generic blob in the name of increased profits and cheap goods. And we actually did learn the local languages, that’s how Catholic missionaries integrated with the Mi’kmaq in the 17th century. They accompanied them on moose hunts in Quebec and learned the language. Their journals quickly became very popular back in France as first hand accounts of the new world.

Not necessarily. Germany is toast. Rape and violence are at an all-time high, many local terrorist cells, vandalism, attacks on Christmas markets and churches, etc. and a similar malaise among the people that existed after WW1. All because Germans still have this lingering WW2 guilt and decided to flood their borders with mostly young Muslim men to somehow atone for things they are not guilty of. Merkel and her globalist allies destroyed the country.
