Is there any difference between what Marc has done on 500 acres , and going to Africa and paying to hunt on an enclosure of 10 to 20,000 acres . You are still paying for it , or going to the Dakotas and paying to hunt pheasants on an 10,000 acre ranch that raises the pheasants to supplant the wild ones ,.

By the way , you can also go to Texas and hunt exotics and also white tailed deer also in enclosures of many thousand acres, guess what ? you also have to pay there are many places like that on this continent , Canada and the U.S.

To further this , a friend of mine goes to England every year to hunt "driven pheasants " on a couple of large estates, this by no means is a cheap hunt, several hundred dollars per day and you only get to keep a brace[two] birds, the rest are sold to game buyers and then sold at markets and restaurants. To all the whiners , get yourself some cheese to go along with your whining and have a good night.:)

No need to pull the thread. I understand that this is a question of ethics and that comes down to the individual. Just because you dont like it doesnt mean its not legal. My fear fear is that any one with a few hundred acres can fence there property and manage the herd and then charge $ to have the privelage to hunt there.

And yes Marc genetics does play a role for sure but I am sure you realized from the research you did exploring places that you could shoot a deer where they show pictures of the deer you could take that there is much more than genetics going on.yes for sure that is a magnificent deer and it will look great on the wall and I am sure the meat will provide you with many a fine meal. As I said I am not her to judge as yo have broken no laws and have done nothing illegal.

Perhaps share some of your videos here with the rest of us that have not found your u tube channel and maybe we will see you are a regular dude who shares our passion for the outdoors.

Interestingly enough ( for what its worth) I have been one time to a pheasant farm, I paid (forget how much $) to shoot 5 pheasants as well as my 2 buddies that came with me. These released pheasants would not fly no matter how hard we tried to flush them, they would rather play peek a boo around trees and sneak away. Well we shot our 15 and I make no apologies for that, after all they tasted the same and we did pay for them.

hey marc, thats a cool buck and i think you should be happy with it. i dont see a difference in that and going to a trout farm. I've caught a wild 8lb brown out of the conestogo river. it felt like a once in a lifetime deal. I've also caught fish from the farm. at the end of the day, I'm happy with both... actually, happier with the farm because i bring my kids and get to be a lazy bugger.

so... i think the real question is how a poor guy like me can get a deer to get used to me scent long enough to take my first deer :P
if i had the cash, and december was rolling around, i'd be persuaded to jump on the game farm too ;)

and I'd be real happy ....

I'd probably have a faster car and a blonde on each arm when it's not huntin season ....

The guy went out and spent his money to fulfill HIS OWN DREAM! not mine and not yours. He's been honest since the beginning.

I have friends that went and shot hogs, friends gone to florida for pigs, guys that hunt pheasant farms, guys that go to Georgia to quail hunt on the plantations ....

all of this costs $ the reason they go is because they just don't see any other alternative to fill that spot.

all of you should cut the guy some slack ... and don't look in the mirror too hard ..you might not like what you see!
