Loose Dogs chasing wildlife problems

Yeah done that. SPCA is in charge around here. I call in reports and email reports. The SPCA warns him, but if he's to be fined or charged from my reports and pictures, I have to go to court and I'd rather not. If we can tip the SPCA off in time and they can catch the dogs, then they can charge him. We're dealing with a person known to police who thinks dogs can run wherever they want. They have chased cattle and killed a chicken.

Wow, this thread has been all over the place. I have a property that is 50 acres and the deer are constantly chased by the neighbor's three dogs as well as the turkeys. I talked to them and as much as got told to take a hike. The only course of action that seems to be working (although slowly) is to chase the dogs off every chance I get ... it seems the dogs are getting the message slowly and based on my trail cameras I am seeing them less and less in my neck of the woods.

OK not trying to gas up the fire. But I can remember hunting in an area where there was a garbage dump near by and it was common it run into a pack of faral dogs. A pack of them. This was when I first started hunting. After a couple of run ins I started carrying slugs but then never really hunted that area again. But I have always carried slugs on me scence just in case. What to do in that situation shoot or not to shoot.
