if i get one. i'll be roasting a nice bbq for sure. no limits or methods on them since they are invasive species.
I would say that is a breeding herd. Don't seem to scared of cars and people yet. Start shooting and that will change.
You ever hit one of those? Saw a big rig that hit one just north of Regina. Took the bottom off the radiator, oil pan was gone, and caved in the right fuel tank like a cheap aluminum beer can. The pig was still in one piece. If you hit a deer like that the deer comes apart, but not a pig. Only other animal that size that can do that kind of damage when you hit it is a bear..
just happened a couple of days ago...the bear walked away :)

I have hunted wild boar here in Ontario about 10 years ago. It was in an area with wild turkey, and within 2 years there were no turkeys left. We shot a deer one evening and decided it was getting to dark to track, so we went back early the next morning. Nothing but the hide, bones and antlers left. They also tear up the land to a great extent.
