It is an interesting point, the credit cards with chip and scan were scammed by a store that was charging $10 to a card it scanned when they passed by in range, an app can record your location (if it is on) and other personal information and pass it on easily. Most don't turn off or change the default settings on apps so seems like something that could easily be done and we can assume CBC and the media won't tell us, they tell us what the government wants us to know much more than what we should know anymore.
