Liberals' two-billion-trees promise to cost $2.78 billion more than planned

It's going to be hard to plant all those tree's, it's tough and dirty work something a Liberal would never do. Last I read tree planting companies can't even hire enough people to plant the trees that they need to plant.

What I said is correct, actually to plant what Trudeau wants to plant the workforce will have to double and since they have a hard time finding people now where will you find these workers?

Several of the most dedicated Liberal's I know are teachers... of course they get a couple weeks vacation, two months off in the summer and work less than 7 hours a day ... but hey ...I take it you didn't think this was work? :silly: :moose:

How about teaching 45 years( from 20 to 65) : with Special Needs kids, with young offenders in Probation/Parole and teaching literacy at the Detention Centre(450 inmates) safety always at risk. If that wasn't hard work I don't know what was.
Oh yes, all summer I went to University and looked after 2 brothers in wheelchairs with Muscular Dystrophy.
We didn't have to have a University degree when I started teaching, but it greatly increased our pay once we got it... at 2 courses a summer it took me 8 years.
MOST teachers are at work from 8am to 4pm and always have prep work to do at home. We are also required to have one after school club type responsibility: coach, music choir, school government, etc..

My point being : we shouldn't judge anyone. I try not to.

PS This is the most I've said in 10 years. :) Covid boredom + I'll lay off the coffee.

That actually is working, you don't fit into the categorization on that point and you aren't in the I know personally group. The ones I am referring too I still put in that categorization, pulling out a folder or notes of something they taught many time isn't prep at all.... they are also ideologically dedicated and fit the kind you would find in Solzhenitsyn in something like Gulag Archipelago or from what I hear from people that went through the cultural revolution in China, no evil is so bad they would give up supporting them.

I didn't look for a picture of a Canadian woman MP doing a strip tease or one in a swimsuit or yoga pants... I was scared I might find Elizabeth May.

Every tree planter I've ever met (quite a few) has been a left leaning person. Usually further left then Liberal, actually. It is hard work. Very hard.

As for the program, I can think of a lot worse for spending a few billion. On the surface I don't have any real issues with it

As a 17 year old in 1974 and a Jr. Ranger in Thunder Bay , we tried tree planting for a week with the pro's. Truly very hard work and living conditions. If you are fast at what you do, a good piece of cash can be earned in one season. Most do not return for a second year. Never asked their political leanings. Lol.
